My past research work includes the development of seismic design procedures for steel frame buildings using analytical and experimental methods. I am currently expanding my previous research activity on steel braced and moment-resisting structures and, in particular, stability of their columns under seismic load effects. I am also interested in the development of sustainable and resilient structural systems including rocking steel frames and composite steel-timber structures. I am looking for motivated, talented and independent students interested in pursuing their graduate studies (MSc/PhD) along these research areas.
